E&V Weddings was a dream project conceptualized in a Brooklyn Brownstone by two best friends, Erin & Vanessa. The duo photographed multiple weddings throughout the country and as their wedding business grew, their professional careers also flourished.
In 2010 Erin left the wedding industry to publish a NY Time's Best Seller! Since then Erin has published three more books and relocated to Northern California.
In 2015 Vanessa moved to California where she now resides, and photographs weddings throughout the San Francisco/ Bay Area. The two remain very good friends and continue to collaborate on projects.
Vanessa was born in Guatemala City, and raised in Berkeley, CA. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Ethnic Studies and earned her MFA degree in Photography, Video and Digital Media from School of Visual Arts in NYC. Vanessa has been a professional photographer and art director for over 10 years, and currently works at Levi's headquarters in San Francisco.
Vanessa's background is in fashion, studio photography and portraiture. She has exhibited her work at the Power House Books Arena in Brooklyn, in 2008; The ISE Cultural Foundation, New York, in 2009; and the Ramscale Gallery, NYC during the Manhattan Cocktail Classic, in 2010. In 2009, Vanessa collaborated with recording Artist Rachel Fine and exhibited artistic photographs of Ms. Fine at the Red Bull Space NYC. In 2011, Vanessa had a solo show at the Museum of Southern Food and Beverage in New Orleans, and was exhibited at the RUSH Arts Gallery in NYC, in 2011, as part of the prestigious CURATE NYC project. Among other exhibits, she has been featured at the South Street Seaport Museum in NYC, in 2012 and the Station Museum of Contemporary Art in Houston, TX in 2012.
In 2009, she was a nominee for the NY Photo Festival and was awarded first place at the Neo Pop Realism International Art Competition. Vanessa continues to photograph personal projects, commissioned assignments and exhibits her work regularly. She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
